The story of a group of e-commerce freelancers: Over ten years of collaboration.

How did your group of e-commerce freelancers come together?

“Our group has evolved over the years — which is probably the most challenging part. Originally, it all started with a team of people who worked together on the project Centrum.cz, where we helped develop Ad Fox, the very first PPC system in the Czech Republic. At that time, we held various positions there and formed a small, tight-knit group that eventually spread out into different fields.

Some of us focused on SEO in agencies, others went freelance and started doing PPC, and a few moved into sales. Over time, we started meeting again on different projects and realized that our specializations — SEO, PPC, and feed management — complemented each other perfectly. That was around 2014–2015, roughly eight years after our time at Centrum.cz. Since then — for more than ten years now — we’ve been recommending clients to one another and working closely together.”

So, you’ve been working with the same group for more than ten years and referring clients to each other?

“Exactly. Each of us specializes in something different, and we share clients depending on their needs. The SEO specialist recommends the PPC expert, the PPC expert recommends the Facebook ads colleague, and so on. Thanks to that, we’ve never really had to do active client acquisition — most clients find us through referrals, and those who start working with us usually stay for the long term.”

How did you come across Tanganica — through colleagues or elsewhere?

“I’d heard a bit about Tanganica before, and later we also received an offer via email. I’ll admit, I ignored it for quite a while — I’d had bad experiences with similar CSS services and didn’t believe it could work. But since I always try to test things for myself first, we decided to give Tanganica a try. We quickly realized that it works on a completely different principle than most CSS services — and that it’s very interesting for a certain group of clients.”

How would you assess Tanganica’s value for your clients?

“Everyone sees it a bit differently, but in my opinion, the biggest benefit is for smaller online stores. Tanganica is a great entry point into the world of online advertising. It’s simple to set up, clients don’t have to manage campaigns themselves, and they only pay a percentage of their revenue. That’s a huge advantage for smaller businesses.”

Have you experienced any key or breakthrough moments with Tanganica?

“I wouldn’t call it a total gamechanger, but one particularly interesting case was when we tested it with larger, established online stores. We wanted to see how Tanganica would perform alongside our regular PPC campaigns. We were worried about cannibalization, but we found that Tanganica actually covers areas we usually overlook — either consciously or unconsciously.

The results were clear: year-over-year, our PPC grew by 15%, and thanks to Tanganica, we added another one million CZK in revenue. Yes, there was some performance overlap, but overall, it led to total growth.”

So, you found that Tanganica can work synergistically with regular PPC campaigns?

“Yes, exactly. Tanganica isn’t a competitor — it’s a complement. Especially for larger projects with multiple traffic sources and broader reach, it can expand the portfolio and bring additional growth. If I hadn’t tested it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it. But real experience proved it beyond doubt.”

You mentioned a colleague who implemented Tanganica and was criticized by an agency for it.

“Yes, that’s true — one of our colleagues implemented Tanganica for a client, and another PPC agency criticized him, claiming he was ‘robbing the client.’ Later, when we showed that agency the concrete results from another client, they changed their opinion. Now that same agency recommends Tanganica to others. It’s really about giving things a chance and testing them for yourself.”

Do you and your group have a vision for the future — and how does Tanganica fit into it?

“Our vision is to focus on things that make sense — not just improving existing processes, but also exploring new paths and testing new tools. Tanganica fits perfectly into this philosophy.

It’s important to test things hands-on, verify what works, and then integrate it into your service portfolio. In our ideal world, everything functions like a well-oiled machine — each component connects and complements the others, creating an efficient, functioning system as a whole.

Tanganica can help both larger, established projects and smaller online stores that can’t yet afford agency management but still want to start growing.”

Do you test other innovative tools within your services as well?

“Yes, but we always look for meaning and efficiency. The internet today is flooded with tools — and not all of them deliver real value. Tanganica isn’t for everyone, but where it fits into the portfolio, the benefits are undeniable. Smaller shops, in particular, can use it to generate their first revenue — which they can then reinvest into remarketing and further growth.”
